Georgetown European Style Intimate Wedding

I absolutely love Georgetown. It truly stands out as some of the best variety that a Washington, DC neighborhood has to offer with its European vibes and cobblestone streets. Several Georgetown locations including the Meridian House and Tudor Place provided the perfect feel for this couple’s European style intimate wedding.

Family Traditions Become Wedding Traditions

A tradition in the bride’s home growing up was drinking a limoncello following any important meal or holiday. The couple brought some of this Italian tradition to their wedding feast via individual bottles of limoncello gifted to guests. Every glass limoncello bottle had the guest’s name and table info tied to it. This was a DIY project that their amazing wedding planner helped complete!

Following the best man’s toast, all guests poured their limoncello into the accompanying miniature wine glass. The guests then joined together for a toast to the newlyweds!

Georgetown Provides Those Old-World Vibes

This was one of the many old-world, European style touches that Samaria and Galvin added to their intimate Georgetown wedding. Their goal was to create that historic, relaxed, elegant, and minimalist feel of Europe. All this plus getting outside in some beautiful greenery!

Between the gorgeous gardens of Tudor Place where their first look was held to the elegant reception on the grounds of Meridian House–these two were blown away by all the local beauty of Georgetown!

Most important to these two was the first look, dancing with guests, and sharing a meal with their loved ones. Additionally, they took a scooter ride after their first look along the brick and cobblestone streets of Georgetown!!

Here’s My Pro Tip

You don’t have to travel far to get the feel that you desire for your wedding day. If you need to use several locations for the first look, ceremony, and reception–then go for it! Create the wedding of your dreams! I love capturing a wedding that reflects just as much of the wedding theme as it does their love story.
