No matter how many details there are to handle for your wedding day, you can always add your own personal touches. Irene and Rong took the DIY route for all of their decor, including flower petals thrown on them by guests during their wedding recessional! This couple’s outdoor wedding venue in Warrenton, Virginia, Airlie House and Farm, played the perfect complement to their big day!
Historic Airlie House and Farm has such a variety of open air spaces with a whimsical feel that just cannot be beat! My favorite is an expansive green field with a “LOVE” sign at the top of a hill. This spot is super fun for wedding day portraits!
Irene & Rong chose the woodsy garden for their ceremony. It could also be easily transformed into a cocktail-hour spot or used for the entire celebration! For indoor options, there is a beautiful space with large windows and twinkle lights. It is great for a backup rain plan which Irene and Rong were pretty close to needing! Fortunately, it just ended up being a cloudy day.
Another ceremony option is the epic outdoor staircase that has all the European feels! These two used it for their couple photos and for shots with the bridal party. I just love this venue because of the variety of locations it offers. You can truly show your personality and transform the space!
Here are a few more bonuses to this Virginia wedding venue:
Another way that this couple personalized their wedding day was making sure that their entire immediate family was in attendance. For them, this included their dog. Airlie House and Farm is an outdoor Virginia wedding venue that allows dogs, so this pup became a part of the day! She was leashed and walked down the aisle by a groomsmen and then joined the newlyweds on their recessional walk too. Traditions for this family always include their dog so naturally their wedding day was no different!
Their fluffy family member even joined them for couples photos prior to the ceremony since she was dressed up with a beautiful floral collar. Their dog was then taken to the couple’s room to rest during the celebration. Irene and Rong really loved having her be a part of their big day!
Having been together for many years, Irene and Rong wanted their day to be a reflection of their relationship and a memorable next step in their story together. Airlie House and Farm was the perfect setting for just that!
I’m always happy to return to one of my favorite outdoor wedding venues in Virginia so let’s chat if this is a location you are considering!
