Adventure! Who doesn’t want an excellent adventure? Well, lately it’s been a buzzword in the wedding industry, adventure engagement session.
These kinds of sessions are so much fun to photograph, but I think it’s important to point out that you don’t need to hike 10 miles or get your photos taken on the side of a glacier. Though I am totally DOWN with that if you want that!
Krysel and Jeremiah wanted a session that showed their silly side, because it’s their love language. Having genuine, emotional photos (and fun) was high on their list.
After a chatty 10-minute “hike” in Great Falls Park, we got to this cute little beach area that had everything we wanted. Rocks, beach, epic views, and a meadow! Yes, please.
I just love how in every photo Krysel is just beaming and giggling at Jeremiah.
She might have been laughing a bit at me, too, because I was a hot mess trying to balance two cameras on those rocks! The whole session was just so much fun and filled with laughter.
Along with the natural setting of the rocks and fields, we stayed and took some photos just after the sun went down.
This time of day is called “blue hour” and it’s one of my favorite times to photograph. The light has so many dimensions and can vary so much depending on the time of year or the weather conditions.
This soft and romantic light is just a lovely way to end a session.Being around these two made me feel so great; their enthusiasm is just positively contagious. I can’t wait for their wedding next year at the Sweeny Barn.
Thanks for sharing your adventure with me, Krysel and Jeremiah!
