Dreamy Iceland Mountaintop Intimate Elopement

As an artist, continual exposure to spectacular sights is high on my priority list. Patrick (my hubs/second shooter) and I were able to go TOGETHER to shoot this gorgeous elopement in ICELAND!! Our creative brains were lit on fire in photographing this intimate elopement on a mountaintop in Iceland.

How Do You Know If You Should Elope?

If you’ve been on the fence between choosing an elopement versus a big wedding, here’s my advice: DO AN ELOPEMENT. Claire and Jordan’s intimate mountaintop elopement in the glaciers of Iceland was THE most amazing adventure.

Elopements are so meaningful as the two of you have your own unique experience together. The elopement day lets your love shine since it isn’t bogged down by anything. You are enabled to fully focus on the once-in-a-lifetime experience you are having with the love of your life.

The photos will not only be visually stunning, but deeply personal. It’s an experience you will never forget!

Go to the Location of Your Dreams

Iceland is such a remote, quiet place that until recently, you didn’t hear much about it. Its weather is tempestuous and wild, so you never know what you’re going to get from day to day, or even hour to hour. It can be bright and sunny one minute and cloudy and hazy a few minutes later.

It turns out that Iceland had been on Claire and Jordan’s bucket list, and they wanted to do something that was just for them: an elopement that was stress-free, beautiful, and romantic.

This couple’s dreams became a reality (as did ours!) in spending their elopement day on the top of a mountain. When we hiked up the mountainside outside of Reykjavik and saw that view, I don’t think any of us spoke for a few seconds.

It was almost otherworldly photographing these two adventurous souls in a setting like this. These adventures were also extended to a day-before session where we hiked to a secret waterfall! (Check it out HERE).

Elopement Moments Just for You

There was an instant when the sun came out and lit up the golden valley below and the tributaries of water sparkled. There we were, photographing two people in love at their bucket-list location. It was a fantastic moment for all of us, and I feel like we’ll share that forever!

Of all the amazing things we saw in Iceland, photographing their love and connection remains the most beautiful. That’s why in my book, destination elopements are ALWAYS the best choice.
