Hotel Washington: A Washington, DC Venue Perfect for Your Wedding Needs

Couple holds hands in the city at Hotel Washington, Washington DC wedding

She’s from Texas, he’s not just from New York, he’s a New Yorker. The groom’s a former Marine who likes 90’s hip-hop, while the bride’s a cowgirl boot-wearing, bluegrass and Taylor Swift lover. They had very little in common but still made it through a pup adoption (his name is Wiley) and dating long-distance. What was the glue that tied together all of these differences? Their shared love for Washington, DC. It naturally followed that the perfect spot for tying the knot was the Hotel Washington, a Washington DC wedding venue.

Two Worlds Collide in the City of Washington, DC

Second to their love for one another (and their pup!) was a passion for living in Washington, DC. These Adams Morgan locals enjoy having a night-in together ordering from some of their favorite dining spots in the area. Dave is a buffalo wings connoisseur and Molly loves cheeseburgers and fries. Mostly, they order sushi or Thai food and they both enjoy some whiskey or Sauvignon blanc. Hotel Washington, in Washington, DC became the site for combining forces in an all-inclusive wedding celebration.

Molly and Dave envisioned their wedding day “being fun and as relaxing as possible for our wedding party and families. We’re excited to have both the ceremony and reception all in one space to make things really chill for the guests and have them really enjoy the view before and after the ceremony! Also, to grab a few cocktails as easily as they can!”

Basically, they wanted their heart for the city to spill over into the entire day in a way that benefited their guests completely. Couples who add all the details to their wedding in a style that fits them while still thinking of their guests is the perfect combination! Molly explained that they both “love bright, funky things and people and we really enjoy living in DC–we want our guests to really experience this special place!”

A Couple Who Wanted to Remember the Little Details

It was easy to join forces with a venue that takes care of all of the big things: catering, ceremony, reception, first look site, etc. This was combined with the couple’s own meaningful little details…

It was all of these little details matched by the newlyweds’ commitment to their guests’ experience and quality time with their closest family and friends that made the Hotel Washington, Washington DC wedding a perfect event. After living in a studio apartment for a year together following dating long distance, Molly summarized, “we survived and had fun, and knew it must be true love.” After this day, it was crystal clear how much it definitely was.
