Getting Married at the LINE DC Hotel
When I know that my couples are DC-based, there is no better place than getting married at the LINE DC Hotel in Adams Morgan! This hotel fits the bill for couples that want a place that’s meaningful to them, has a great location for portraits, and is both intimate and special.
The hotel is right by Meridian Hill Park and all that Adams Morgan has to offer as an easy access point to the entire city!
Rooftop Ceremony or First Look
First looks and ceremonies on the rooftop of the LINE DC have killer views of Washington, DC. Even if it’s overcast, this can give a really lovely and muted look to your photos. You just never know when crazy Washington, DC weather will turn sunny. Never let the weather get you down for your wedding!
If you are having a larger wedding, you can reserve the entire main rooftop. However, if you are having a smaller wedding or elopement, you can book the Monument Suite. The suite has a full two-bedroom, two-bath, living room, long dining room table (perfect for an intimate gathering), and the best part: private rooftop terrace overlooking the city. This view includes spectacular sights of the Washington monument against the sunset backdrop!
Following their ceremony, I guide my couples in taking photos on the roof and around the hotel. Then they can go back to their suite for hugs and love from their very best friends and family or head off to their wedding reception at the amazing hotel restaurant!
Having Your Wedding at a Hotel
Normally, I would NOT recommend getting married at a hotel, but the LINE DC is a different story. Even if this is not the spot you select for your ceremony, it can still be a comfortable, chic location for getting ready and doing your first look.
If you love the vibrancy and history of Washington, DC you will adore this luxury hotel. It feels like a stylish boutique get-away. The restored 110-year old former church is the product of community effort by local chefs, bartenders, artist, and cultural contributors.
Unique in its history and decor, this Adams Morgan neighborhood hotel, offers a more diverse side of Washington, DC. Most hotels are very dark, stiff, and lack personality, or have too much of the wrong personality!
The rooms instead have character, mid-century modern decor, ivory walls and floor-to-ceiling windows providing an elevated feel with style. The natural light and neutral color palette looks amazing in photographs. It also feels more like a stylish home or lux-Airbnb than a hotel with the decor and hardwood floors.
Every part of your wedding should be chosen with care and so much of this can start with choosing your wedding venue. It’s amazing when you can find a spot to reflect both your love and personality. Whether your wedding day holds a foggy sky or sunset the LINE DC Hotel rooftop is a perfect wedding location!
