WOW. This wedding venue left me speechless. It was a perfect blend of romance, a vintage feel, and an unforgettable location. I am so blessed to have been a part of Lauren + Brian’s magical wedding at Poplar Springs Manor in Warrenton, Virginia.
I love photographing this romantic wedding venue first and foremost because of the variety it offers! There are so many epic spots for photos at Poplar Springs Manor: the tree groves, open fields, stone patio, and the pond in front of the manor. The opportunities are endless for epic wedding day photos!
This wedding venue is tucked away on a 173 acre property so it feels like you are having a destination wedding only just outside of Washington, DC. The second best benefit is the fact that this Inn it offers an all-in-one package providing boarding for the wedding party and guests.
I ALWAYS recommend that the less transportation and moving pieces the better on your wedding day! Also, the staff goes above and beyond to make a bridal parties’ stay feel welcome. They are so helpful and genuine.
I absolutely fell in love with Lauren and Brian the moment I first talked to them about their wedding day dreams. This venue could not have been a better fit for them!
Their wedding day florals by Shelley Campbell were absolutely beautiful with deep red flowers and romantic vintage details setting the tone for the day. Megan Monahan and Nicole McConnell did such a stellar job on all the girls hair and makeup.
Seriously, if you are looking for your wedding day HMU in the DC Metro Area these ladies are for you! Cakes by Marium created an incredible textured white wedding cake for Lauren and Brian. They decided to keep the design simple so those florals could shine!
Now, we gotta talk about Lauren’s INCREDIBLE Maggie Sottero wedding dress. It is what dreams are made of! If you’re considering a DC Metro Area wedding, you should check out Brides by Natalie in Old Town Alexandria!
The third best feature of Poplar Springs Manor is its indoor and outdoor options. You can have your ceremony in the tree grove, but there’s also a tented back-up plan if it rains. Every choice this couple made just fell into place perfectly complementing their romantic surroundings.
The two decided to document their WHOLE day! So we started off with getting ready photos of the girls and the guys and documented little details along the way. Lauren and Brian really wanted to spend time with their guests, so we had their first look before the ceremony on Poplar Spring’s beautiful grounds.
Later, we explored the wooded areas for their couples’ photos. We also took their wedding party photos before the outdoor ceremony on the patio! After dinner and tear-jerking speeches (yes, I cried throughout the day too!), we had a freakin’ aaawweessommeee party with DJ Ragz back out on the patio!
What an amazing privilege to document the epic wedding photos of such an incredible couple at the quite magical Poplar Springs Manor.
